Switching gears

We're into football season..."I'm going to be a two--maybe three sport All-American." Off to the races; Freddy is loving football...playing fullback and linebacker and executing pretty well. He had two touchdowns and a number of key blocks that allowed for great yardage by the running back. On defense he was fairly impressive with the number of stops/tackles and one play in particular where he blitz'd the QB by superman-ing over the line...the QB ended up throwing the ball at Freddy's waist and the crowd went crazy.

We had a great time spending time with family afterward. We played bocci ball at Steve's parents. My team lost but we're going for the win in the next set of play!

Steve and I watched the UofA vs. BYU...makes us feel like we're involved in Jefferson's life in a weird distant way. It was very cool to see them win. I remember Jefferson last year over parent's weekend telling me, "Yah, the best thing we're gong to see at the football game is the marching band. They do all this stuff that is so cool...." When it was halftime he told me I had to sit and watch it...Freddy was with us and was like, “Gee whiz--a bunch of band kids”, and Jefferson pointed out every next step. {Charters you can confirm this with Frederick and Jefferson--I swear Jefferson was totally into the band and not the game}. Jefferson said the only thing better than the band was when they actually one at home--cuz you get to run on the field!

We have spent most of our weekend cleaning. A list of 85 tasks being whittled away at. Overall it was relaxing. Relaxing in a way that I haven't felt for in some time.
