That is the error. Confusing genuine interest with genuine understanding. It logically follows [for me] that given an interest one is driven to full understanding. Perhaps the standard is an interest that extends only to a concept of a thing, or an interest to a sense of something and that fulfills the need. Very different outcomes...driven to know or driven to "feel" one knows.
That is the error. And the pieces come together. Premised on this...it all means something very much different than it did five minutes ago.
