Day off...read, think, rest and do a little cleaning.
Came across this passage which I think explains clearly the current environment:
"A state of things in which a large portion of the most active and inquiring intellects find it advisable to keep their general principles and the grounds of their convictions within their own breasts, and attempt, in what they address to the public, to fit as much of what they can of their own conclusions to premises which they have internally renounced, cannot send forth the open, fearless characters, and logical, consistent intellects who once adorned the thinking world."
...but I still hold that everything changes in six months--so it is only patience that is required until that time.
House is so quiet. Just the pitter patter of kitty feet bouncing about. Going to work finishing or rather reworking one of my crafts projects...need to dig out the materials. And then back to this great book that is a much needed escape to a world which ought to be and in time perhaps will be.
