Lazy without guilt

Add to the definition of paradise:
the ability to be lazy and have no guilt.
We have done absolutely nothing today that is worth telling.
And maybe this is the point.

Staring out to space.
Not a thought worth remembering.
Clothing unecessary.
The sun hot, penetrating, embracing.

Swim forth and back.
One decisive conscious moment--
I'd rather be stretched out under the sun.
Lounging...on fire...burning.

Long nap indoors.
Hours pass.
Steve makes iced coffee--it's incredible, the taste, the texture.
It's just coffee but it brings us out of the haze.

We play online Family Feud laughing at ourselves.
It grows dark outside.
We should eat...the words echo.
We should eat.

Cabbage, lentils, rice, onion, garlic and miscellaneous spices.
Simple. Easy. Thrown together. Delicious.
Wine...always too much.
The haze wandering back.

We'll watch the lightning from our bed.
Feel the thunder move through us.
Dream perfect dreams.
Wake to another day in paradise.
