Stories

Sometime between 3:00-4:00am in transit from SFO to Dallas I read a story by Jhumpa Lahiri from her first book, "interpreter of maladies". It's about the breaking point...where there is no longer a "try", where opting out is the answer although with exiting with the most direct honesty possible--with the symbolism fluid in darkness to light.

What does it convey when one finds death in light? I can't help to think this is a cultural difference...retain the full context and the entire meaning changes. Focus on only that which is common and the undertone--the relevancy--the words hold something entirely different.
