Arriving

Uneventful flight...and a rapid deboarding, easy border and customs check.... We are checking on the Great Wall tours this morning--most probably do this tomorrow and today head to the Forbidden City and take in the basic feel of Beijing.

First error...drank the tap water...but feeling only slightly queasy--unlike India where you feel as if someone is ripping your stomach out (but you are sitting in a meeting...so you sit with pursed lips--while an Indian national realizes that you have been served tap water and is looking at you with pleading eyes...hoping you will be fine)...this will pass within 24hrs.

Watching French television, breezing through the literature in the room, digesting the news...one year since the tsunami...and pics of how things have been rebuilt....
