First trail in Phoenix...steep, enjoyable, and very different from California. Incredibly hot....in the car I passed one of those signs that lists the temperature, it read 110. Not sure it was accurate, but I am certain that I have never hiked in such heat. Good practice for Zion, where the expected norm is 95-100.
